About Mochi
Mochi is a small pixel creature who lives in a blue screen and talks to you. Sweet, a little silly, and fond of whoever is looking after it — replies come back short and in lowercase, the way a pocket creature would talk.
It is the only entity here you can neglect. Mood and energy genuinely decay while you are away, so it will be flatter if you leave it alone for a while.
Looking after it
Three controls sit under the screen: feed, play and let it nap. Each one lifts a different meter, and the meters drop again over time on their own. Let its mood bottom out and it turns sad; let its energy go and it falls asleep, and its face changes to match.
The creature itself is a 22-by-22 pixel sprite drawn fresh each frame, so it bobs, blinks and changes expression a pixel at a time rather than playing an animation.
Questions
What happens if I ignore Mochi? Its mood and energy drop over time. It gets sad when its mood empties and falls asleep when its energy does. Feeding, playing or letting it nap brings it back.
Does it remember me between visits? The conversation resets when you reload, and its meters start fresh. Only your API key is kept in the browser.
Is it free? Yes. The entity itself costs nothing and there is no account to make. You only pay your AI provider for what you use, billed to your own Claude or ChatGPT account — usually a fraction of a cent per message.
Where does my API key go? It is saved in this browser and nowhere else. Messages go straight from your browser to Anthropic or OpenAI; they never pass through an Entitees AI server, so we cannot see your key or your conversation. Clearing the key with “forget key” removes it from the browser.
Which key do I need? Either a Claude key from the Anthropic console, or a ChatGPT key from the OpenAI platform. The page detects which one you pasted and talks to that provider. A ChatGPT Plus subscription is not the same thing as API credit.
Can I install it like an app? Yes. Add it to your home screen and it opens full-screen with its own icon. Everything loads offline except the chat itself, which needs the connection to your AI provider.
